The Pan-Territorial Air Cadet Committee (PTACC) is the organization representing the Air Cadet League of Canada in the North. The League was formed by an Order-in-Council in 1941 and granted Dominion Charter to operate as a charitable, non-profit corporation to sponsor and develop the Air Cadet movement in Canada. The aim of Air Cadets is summed up in our motto - To Learn - To Serve - To Advance - and we promote this aim by providing Canadian youth with opportunities to develop and maintain an interest in aviation and aerospace, in a structured and supportive environment.
The Air Cadet League partners with the Department of National Defence to deliver the Air Cadet program nationally. PTACC represents the three northern Territories to the National League in Ottawa, and is made up of seven directors (two from the Yukon, two from the NWT, two from Nunavut, and a chair who may be from any Territory). PTACC's Administrative Headquarters are located in Yellowknife.
